This is pretty much completely absent in this OVA. The one standout in Strike Witches was the unique personality and interactions of the characters. This introduces the setting (somewhat) and gives you some ideas of what to expect, though it glosses over a lot well there's not too much you can showcase in 7 min. This is not representative of what you'll hear in the TV series. The BGM is orchestral, and you'll hear Wagner's Lohengin, Prelude to Act 3 repeatedly. While the entire cast of Strike Witches is introduced, only a subset of them are voiced (others just appear briefly or are mentioned by name). In summary, the animation is fairly dated and sub par compared to even the TV production. Strangely enough, even though this is an OVA it has less fan service than the televised version. In addition to character styling changes, even the base and mechanics of the striker units are different (the strikers in the TV series don't have wheels.). The animation quality and drawing style are different from the TV series. If you're thinking of watching this to see if you might be interested in the TV series, just skip this and go directly to ep 1 of the TV series. It introduces the main setting and characters but has a dreary storyline, if it can even be considered a storyline. This Strike Witches OVA can be thought of as a 7 min prototype/preview for the Strike Witches TV show. They are still mechanical and shouldn`t be confused with plug suits., science fiction Science fiction stories usually focus on how situations could be different in the future when we are more technologically advanced due to either our own achievements or having met with other civilizations whom we have learned from. Bikinis are not pantsu., power suit Power Suits are similar to Piloted Robots which are controlled from inside the robot except that Power Suits tend to be more directly tied to how the character moves and they are usually not as big as Piloted Robots can be. Pantsu views may be exclusive to the viewer without impacting any characters. Exposure is usually accidental, but may also be deliberate. Upskirt views in various positions are typical, however all forms of partial or fully exposed panties are accepted. Here however we limit it to the more exotic things usually referred to as mecha anime: robots, whether controlled by a human or not, and their ilk., pantsu "Panties" in Japanese. Magic Magic is the art of purportedly manipulating aspects of reality either by supernatural means or through knowledge of unknown occult laws., mecha Mecha in Japanese basically means mechanical things everything from an electric whisk or a car to a spaceship or a robot.
